The Miami-Dade Innovation Authority, Inc. (MDIA), founded in 2023 through a collaboration between Miami-Dade County and visionary tech leaders, is a nonprofit dedicated to accelerating innovation by connecting private tech companies with the public sector. MDIA aims to fast-track solutions that improve economic growth and social outcomes, positioning Miami-Dade as a global hub for high-growth companies. Through its Public Innovation Challenge, MDIA invests in and supports early-to-growth stage startups from around the world, helping them pilot, test, and validate technologies that address the region’s most pressing public challenges.
